Valerie Devi Carpenter is a transformational coach, healer, speaker, and licensed teacher of Rachael Jayne Groover’s Art of Magnetic Presence. She helps accomplished women who are highly capable on the outside but can lose access to themselves under pressure reconnect with the grounded presence from which confidence, clarity, and authentic influence naturally emerge. Her work helps women come back to themselves so they can speak, lead, and live from a place that is authentic rather than performed.
Valerie brings an unusual combination of experience to this work. She spent more than 30 years in the performing arts as an actor, director, producer, and teacher, alongside nearly 20 years as a technical writer and instructional designer for Fortune 500 companies. Her lifelong fascination with voice and expression eventually led her into the study of sound healing, psychoacoustics, nervous system regulation, embodiment, and transformational healing.
Drawing on training from the California Institute of Integral Studies, the Acutonics Institute, Vox Mundi School of the Voice, and other disciplines, Valerie works at the intersection of voice, nervous system, and embodied presence. Her approach is grounded in a simple principle: executive presence is not the performance of authority; it is embodied self-trust and the ability to communicate from that place.
Valerie is the founder of Valerie Devi Sound Living in the San Francisco Bay Area and co-author of “Finally ME: How Shamanic Journeying Healed Childhood Trauma and Gave Me Back My Life” and “Free Your Voice: Awaken to Life Through Singing.” She is currently completing her memoir,
The Sound of Self: Stumbling Down the Medicine Path and What I Did to Find My Way Home.”
At the heart of her work is the belief that our greatest authority doesn’t come from becoming more impressive, but from becoming more deeply ourselves.
